About Us

Appleyard Candles is a new and improved brand name, but we have been trading under the name Nutty Crafts since 2011. It is run by me .. Natalie. I am a married, 40'something year old mum of 2 boys!

I started making candles in 2011 with the intention of giving them as gifts in home made Christmas hampers. I quickly discovered it wasn't as easy as it looked, but was hooked from day 1! I spent months testing & researching. The gift candles I made sold, and nobody actually got any for Christmas! That following March, I did my very first craft fair, and I haven't looked back since!

In April 2022 and friend and I opened a gift shop in our local town .. The Norfolk Gift Company Ltd.  We rent out shelf space to Norfolk based crafters,makers & artists, and sell their handmade products.

I can be found working in the shop 5 days a week, and am always happy to chat to visitors and answer any questions you may have.
